About Us

Kivuli Youth Arts Centre is a fast growing youth centre dedcated to educate the disadvantaged in the communtity, especially young people, in African Arts, Culinary Arts, Music and Eco-tourism.

Vision

Kivuli Youth Arts Centre wants to see the youth in its community using and developing their talents to secure jobs. Also we are looking for cultural exchange with different countries throughout the world.

Founders Profile

Walter Haklen Mwakalenga was born in Iringa and raised in Bagamoyo in a small village called Mwanakalenge. He is a talented artist and enjoys sharing his skills with other youth in his neighbourhood. He is skilled in playing the drums and African dance. He received his secondary education in Bagamoyo and participated in leadership training in Telemark, Norway. In 2010, Walter started Kivuli Youth Arts Centre to bring together the youth of Bagamoyo and share with them different art skill. Walter believes this will help them to be creative and bring them some income towards self employment.

Beda Adolph Kinyaiya was born in Moshi, Kilimanjaro where he lived with his family before coming to Bagamoyo. H joined the Kivuri Youth Arts Centre as a teacher of final Arts and African culture (whilst he is continuing with his studies at TASUBA College).
